+The children’s clothes market in the village of Kudelstaart has been operational for 37 years. In march 2016 the former organiser ended their activities and soon after, a group of youngsters were ready to pick up where they left off.  Not only can you buy some really interesting bargains, you can also sell your own children’s clothes via the organisation.
 +
+On King’s Day 2017 Stichting Corantijn organised a collection day in De Kwakel and was approached by one of the members of the board of the children’s clothing market. Would they be interested in taking part in the next market in the autumn of this year. After the market day it happens that the contributors do not pick up their unsold clothing. The board would like to donate these goods to charity.
 +
+The match was made and after a few trial runs Stichting Corantijn is now the permanent charity for this market.\\
+Also on the 30th of March this year.
 +
+The evening before the market goods for the market are being brought in by the parents. Stichting Corantijn banners are hung up, a threefold brochure and flyers are left behind. The parents are told that they can donate the surplus of unsold clothes to Stichting Corantijn the next day. This was already known by many of the parents.\\
+The next day we were overwhelmed by the number of clothes, shoes and clothes hangers that were donated.
 +
+The organisation and Stichting Corantijn congratulated each other on this success. On the one hand they are happy that no clothes are left behind and also because we can now make many children in Surinam very happy.\\
